At Inter, one of the men of the moment is Ange-Yoan Bonny, a talent that coach Cristian Chivu requested and obtained from the management of the Nerazzurri. Despite a first year in Serie A without big numbers in terms of goals, the Frenchman has captivated the Romanian coach who brought him along to Milan.

As revealed by colleagues at TMW, however, his fate could have been different because in January 2025 he was one step away from flying to the Premier League. Parma had accepted an offer from Leicester of over 25 million euros but then the deal was not closed quickly and the deal fell through, this is their revelation:

“Ange-Yoan Bonny a little over eight months ago was one step away from the Premier League […], the backstory dates back to last winter’s transfer window and Bonny was still at Parma. Leicester had closed the deal for around 25-30 million euros, but then the deal fell through. The timing dragged on too long, Parma would have been left without a replacement.”
