New confirmations regarding Inter‘s serious intentions to focus entirely on Luis Henrique next summer. Journalist Fabrizio Biasin, in his report for Cronache di Spogliatoio, reiterated the Nerazzurri’s strong interest toward the Marseille winger.

The well-known journalist first confirmed the ongoing contacts: Inter’s interest is, I wouldn’t say openly declared, but almost. Just the day before yesterday, Marseille’s directors including sporting director Benatia, ed were at San Siro, partly because discussions about the player were on the table. He’s not only liked by Inter; he’s also highly valued in the Bundesliga, notably by Bayern Munich. However, Inter appears to have moved faster. Of course, all these factors depend ultimately on money and the ability to complete a certain kind of deal.

Furthermore, Biasin also provided details regarding potential figures involved in the deal: From what I’ve learned, Marseille are asking around €35 million, while Inter is significantly lower at about €25 million. Finding common ground won’t be easy, but relations are good and Marseille apparently have opened the door to negotiations. There’s a realistic hope, and that’s already something. Inter would like to finalize the transfer as quickly as possible to try to have him ready in time for the Club World Cup. The effort is ongoing, although there are other factors at play.
