Barcelona continues to follow Alessandro Bastoni, but at the moment there are no concrete developments regarding a possible transfer. In recent days, the Spanish media had spoken of figures far from the real value of the defender and of an alleged pressure from the Blaugrana club, but none of this has materialized. Fabrizio Biasin, a journalist very close to Inter, clarified the situation on Telelombardia.

The journalist confirmed that the Catalan club has initiated contacts with the defender’s entourage, who has not closed the door to dialogue. This is a change compared to the past, when both Barcelona and Real Madrid had their approaches rejected from the outset.

However, according to Biasin, two simultaneous conditions would be needed to make the deal happen. “The player would have to come forward and say he has decided to have another experience, something that has not happened so far and may not happen. He has not expressed a desire to leave.”

And then Barcelona would have to make a senseless offer for him: if it’s an important but normal offer, Inter would struggle to let him go because they would then have to replace him.”

Biasin was skeptical about the possibility that Barcelona could afford such a figure, while acknowledging that the Catalan club manages to surprise every year. The feeling is that Bastoni is not focused on the idea of leaving at all costs, contrary to what is being reported.
