Ausilio closes the door on Perisic: no return to Inter

The rumors about a possible return of Ivan Perisic to Inter receive a clear response. Piero Ausilio, the Nerazzurri sporting director, spoke on the sidelines of the Magna Graecia Film Festival in Soverato, categorically ruling out the possibility of re-signing the Croatian player.

“Perisic a suggestion? No, no, no. Absolutely not,” declared Ausilio in response to a question from journalists present at the event. A firm denial that, at least for now, puts an end to the speculation about him.

The Croatian had already been linked to the Nerazzurri last January, when Dumfries’ absence opened a window for his return to Milan. The winger has never hidden his desire to wear the Inter shirt again, and several sources have continued to consider the move possible.

Even Bild has reported in recent days the player’s willingness to return to the Nerazzurri. However, Perisic’s age clashes with the guidelines of Oaktree, which favors younger profiles in the club’s transfer strategies.
