This week the Coppa Italia returns to the spotlight with the official entry of Inter into the competition at the round of 16. The Nerazzurri will face Venezia, a team that reached this stage thanks to their victory in the previous round, which was decided on penalties against Verona. Inter-Venezia will be played at San Siro on Wednesday, December 3, with kick-off at 21:00.

The round of 16 match will be refereed by 34-year-old Davide Di Marco, in his second ever match officiating the Nerazzurri. The assistants will be Preti and Ricci, while Bonacina will serve as the fourth official. VAR will be handled by Nasca with Mazzoleni as Assistant VAR.

As for the only previous meeting that ‘links’ Di Marco to Inter, it refers to last season when the referee from the Ciampino section officiated the Nerazzurri’s victory over Lecce on August 24, 2024. That match, which ended 2-0, was decided by goals from Matteo Darmian and Hakan Calhanoglu from the penalty spot.
