With the derby against Milan scheduled for Saturday, October 31 approaching, Chivu is reportedly considering a lineup with some significant rotations for the match against Venezia. According to Sky Sport, the goal is to distribute playing time and manage the squad’s energy ahead of upcoming commitments.
In defense, Carlos Augusto could line up alongside Bisseck and Bastoni in the back three, with Akanji initially set for the bench. On the flanks, Dimarco should return as a starter on the left, while Spence operates on the opposite side.
In midfield, Calhanoglu could be rested for a game: Stankovic is expected to take the playmaker role, playing in the middle together with Barella and Zielinski. The Italian is favored over Sucic for a spot in the starting eleven.
Up front, the option of pairing Bonny and Pio Esposito is gaining ground, although the battle between the young Italian striker and Thuram for a starting spot is not yet settled. Provedel is confirmed in goal.
Inter (3-5-2): Provedel; Bisseck, Bastoni, Carlos Augusto; Spence, Barella, Stankovic, Zielinski, Dimarco; Bonny, Pio Esposito. Coach: Cristian Chivu.
