Inter leaves the Bentegodi stadium in Verona with three points, a favorable result for Cristian Chivu‘s team that also comes with a dose of luck. The Nerazzurri thus maintain confidence and points in Serie A and can now focus on the next Champions League match, scheduled for Wednesday.
Verona-Inter was not, however, a match without controversy or refereeing disputes. The former Serie A referee, Gianpaolo Calvarese, analyzes everything with the slow-motion replay in the columns of Tuttosport. According to him, the contact against Pio Esposito was too slight for a penalty, while the foul by Bisseck on Giovane (for which Hellas was asking for a red card) is evaluated as follows:
