Numerous injuries have hit Inter in recent days, forcing Simone Inzaghi to adjust before finalizing the squad list for the trip to Florence. In addition to Acerbi and Pavard, the manager also had to do without Carlos Augusto, who stayed at Appiano Gentile due to fatigue in his right thigh. Also out is third goalkeeper Raffaele Di Gennaro, who required surgery to resolve an issue with a finger on his left hand.

To counter the defensive crisis, Inzaghi has called up two young players from the Nerazzurri Spring team for the trip to Florence: Alessandro Calligaris, the Under 20 goalkeeper, and Mike Aidoo, who has already experienced playing with the first team in the Champions League against Young Boys and Lipsia.

While the goalkeeper, brought along with the team mostly for numbers, seems unlikely to play, Aidoo, who plays on the right wing, dreams of making his debut in the first team. Born in 2005, Aidoo could have opportunities to enter the game in progress given the numerous unavailabilities in Inter’s defense and external lanes.
