Lega Serie A has published on its Youtube channel some footage shot by the Ref Cam during GenoaInter, which reveals the dialogue between referee Daniele Doveri and Nicolò Barella regarding the yellow card given to the Sardinian midfielder in the 73rd minute of the match at Marassi.

After committing a very questionable handball, Barella quickly moves away to avoid protests, but the referee calls him back from a distance and shows him the yellow card. The decision prompts a reaction from Lautaro Martinez, who turns to the referee to ask for an explanation: “He went over there for his own busi… he didn’t do anything,” says the Argentine striker.

Soon after, the Nerazzurri midfielder returns to the spot of the free kick in an attempt to justify himself to Doveri: “I didn’t say anything to you.” The referee’s reply is immediate: “You didn’t say anything? You put on a show.”
