In light of the results recorded at the end of the first five Champions League matchdays, Inter have been among the best performing teams in the new single round-robin stage. The team, coached by Simone Inzaghi, with four wins and just one draw, is second in the standings behind only Liverpool, managed by Slot, who lead with a perfect score.
This performance, which fills the Nerazzurri fans with pride, also brings a smile to the club’s accounts. As announced by Inter Media and Communication’s quarterly report released today, participation in the new format with more Champions League matches has already guaranteed a minimum income of approximately 70 million euros. This is a 22% increase, according to the club’s estimates, compared to previous editions.
To this figure, if they go directly to the round of 16 without going through the playoffs, will be added approximately another 20 million in the form of qualification prize and bonus related to the position in the leaderboard of this first single round-robin phase.
