The Curva of Inter wanted to pay tribute to Piero Ausilio with a banner displayed during the match against Napoli. “Thank you Ausilio” was the message from the fans to the executive who ended his Nerazzurri experience after 28 years.
Ausilio, through the club’s official website, had bid farewell to the environment with words full of emotion: “Inter is in my blood, it’s the air I breathed every day.” The executive, who was sporting director until the recent separation, wanted to send a special thought precisely to the Nerazzurri supporters.
“My deepest and most heartfelt thanks go to you fans, the beating heart of this shirt, who have accompanied and supported me on this endless journey,” said Ausilio. The executive was one of the protagonists of the winning phase experienced by the club in recent years. San Siro thus reciprocated the affection with the Curva‘s banner, ideally closing a cycle that lasted almost three decades.
