Therefore, according to the refereeing authorities, the decision taken by the referee and VAR would have been correct. Even though in front of Mandas, the Inter player would not have hindered the save to Lazio’s last defender. Not only that: De Vrij would be far enough from the Lazio player and the ball would pass at such a distance as to prevent him from having any influence on the action.
