In yesterday’s match, won by Inter against Udinese, Mehdi Taremi‘s absence was immediately noticeable. Not only was he not chosen by coach Simone Inzaghi for the starting eleven, but he was also not even present on the bench. The Iranian forward has indeed suffered a muscular injury and today underwent preliminary medical exams.
As announced by Inter, the evolution of this injury will be re-evaluated next week in order to better determine the recovery timelines. At the moment, however, initial estimates regarding the Nerazzurri striker’s return are not particularly optimistic: it is anticipated that he’ll remain out for at least 20 days.
Taremi should therefore be back available to Inzaghi for the league match against Bologna scheduled on Easter, April 20th, or at latest for the second leg of the Coppa Italia semifinal against Milan on April 23rd. Inter’s number 99 will consequently miss the matches against Milan, Parma, Cagliari, and both fixtures against Bayern Munich.
