Stramaccioni on Carlos Augusto: “He deserves the call-up with Brazil”

He could be the future of the left flank for Brazil. This is the opinion expressed by Stramaccioni about Carlos Augusto, who spoke to Dazn before the Inter–Fiorentina match.

“Everyone can see the importance of Carlos Augusto, considered the twelfth man but who is giving an incredible contribution. When he started, he scored 4 goals between the league and the Champions League, defensive and offensive contribution, personality, he has so many qualities, a repertoire of goals scored in different ways,” declared the former coach.

Stramaccioni then went further, sending a direct message to the coach of the Brazilian national team. “This is also a message for our friend Carlo Ancelotti: I’ll go out on a limb, Carlos Augusto deserves a call-up to Brazil for the matches against Japan and Singapore for the next international break.”

Supporting his argument, the experience of the full-back in the last World Cup: “He played the World Cup with two full-backs who are a bit older, Carlos Augusto can be the future of the left flank for Brazil.”
