During Napoli–Inter everything happened and the most heated moment occurred when, during the second half, there was a big argument in front of the benches with Antonio Conte and Lautaro Martinez insulting each other from a distance. As reported on DAZN by Federica Zille, a pitchside journalist, there were some insults between the two. This is the revelation from the journalist:
“Everything was triggered by a contact between Olivera and Dumfries just a few steps from Antonio Conte’s bench. Conte first saw the argument start with Dumfries, then the Inter captain got involved with a gesture that in Argentina is used to call someone a coward. Antonio Conte responded with a hand gesture, meaning ‘keep talking, keep talking.’ Then you also saw some lip reading during the 90 minutes, it’s pretty unmistakable: ‘keep talking to this d***.’ So that was the exchange at a distance between Lautaro Martinez and Antonio Conte. But it all started on the sideline with Dumfries. Then even Calhanoglu went to hold back his former coach. He was holding Antonio Conte so things wouldn’t get even more heated, but let’s say the situation had already gotten a bit out of hand.”.
