On the eve of the match against Inter, scheduled for tomorrow at 1 PM in Perth, Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti spoke at a press conference addressing various topics, from the upcoming game to transfer strategies.

The Bianconeri coach described the clash as an important test to assess the work done: “These are matches where you can see the team’s mentality, they help us understand if we are working in the right direction or not. It’s clear that Inter is a very tough team, like Chelsea. Consequently, we will need to be a team at all times during the match, avoid having difficulties in our attitude, because Inter could take advantage if we are not compact. However, we always look for something extra, something different, to experiment with new things.”

Asked about the Bastoni case, which arose during the last match between the two teams marked by controversy, Spalletti was brief: “It will be simple, we will continue what we did after that match. We had no aftereffects and we haven’t talked again about the players’ behavior on the pitch. We just want to play a good match against the strongest in our league, to learn as much as possible to reach their level.”

Regarding the lineup choices, the coach confirmed more playing time for Yildiz: “He will play more than in the last games, today three or four boys did not train on the pitch to manage their workload. It’s not easy to organize these events. But it’s extra effort and in the next few hours we will check if they have recovered. If he will start, I’ll say it tomorrow after the match. But the intention is to let him play a half or almost a half.”

On the transfer front, Spalletti responded to rumors about Circati from Parma: “Circati is a promising player, who has shown great qualities, of course he could interest any club. But right now we have only a couple of well-defined targets, which at the moment do not concern him. We cannot create alternative situations because, based on recent events, we now have a very large squad.”

Finally, on the issue of goals after the departure of Vlahovic, the coach expressed confidence in the new arrivals Alajbegovic and Kolo Muani: “I think these players together will be able to surpass those numbers. It’s not important to have one who scores 20 goals. This year the league will be characterized by playing on Thursdays and Sundays, it will be difficult to always play the same ones. The Europa League is more demanding than the Champions League. But with the players we have brought in, we will be able to make up for it with everyone’s work, even without the physical center forward we are missing. Ekhator has some of those characteristics, Kolo fills the box. Alajbegovic is also someone who can score goals. We want to help Kolo Muani with his numbers. For now, we are quite calm.”
