Sky – “Chivu renewal, here’s when the signing with Inter could happen”

Cristian Chivu is getting closer to extending his relationship with Inter, with the Nerazzurri club ready to secure the Romanian coach after a season that began with success. Winning the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia has further accelerated talks about the renewal, strengthening the management’s confidence in the newly launched technical project. According to colleague Andrea Paventi of Sky Sport, only the official announcement is missing, which could arrive in the next few days:

“We have learned that as far as Chivu is concerned, only the signature on the contract is missing. In recent days there was already a meeting with his agent, Chiodi, and the details of the contract and the renewal have been defined, which will tie the coach to the club until 2028 with an option for another year. The lawyers have everything in hand for drafting the contract and in the coming days, either this week or at the beginning of next week, before the coach leaves for vacation, there will be the formal act and therefore the signature, the announcement, and everything that will lead to the continuation of the excellent work done by Chivu this year with the double and for next season in which Inter wants to be a protagonist also in the market with operations that are developing in these weeks.”
