The Tar of Lombardy has rejected the appeals against the sale of San Siro and the surrounding areas to Inter and Milan. The municipal resolution was deemed correct on the merits, while the other appeals were declared inadmissible.
Anna Scavuzzo, deputy mayor with responsibility for Urban Regeneration of the Municipality of Milan, commented on the decision by highlighting the work carried out by the administration. The City Council dedicated five Commission sessions and over fifteen hours of discussion in the chamber to the dossier. “That debate was not wasted time. It improved the project and set precise commitments,” she stated.
The deputy mayor reiterated the democratic process followed by the city. “On San Siro, the city discussed, debated, and in the end made a choice. I respect those who chose to turn to the courts,” she said.
Now the Municipality is looking to the operational phase. The commitments made concern half of the area being allocated to green spaces, resources for public works, strict anti-mafia controls, and maximum attention to the quality of the work and the construction site. “Now it’s time to respect them. Now we have the responsibility to carry out what has been decided in the best possible way,” Scavuzzo concluded.
