Runjaic acknowledges the gap: Inter is on another level

After the 5-3 defeat at San Siro, Kosta Runjaic commented on his Udinese team’s performance against Inter to DAZN microphones. The Friulian coach openly acknowledged the gap between the two teams, admitting that the Nerazzurri displayed superior quality.

Runjaic expected such a strong lineup, but emphasized how his team gave away goals too easily. In the first half, ball control was better, while in the second half the opposing pressure was not managed adequately. Inter’s great restart in the second half was predictable, but the Bianconeri gave too much space to their opponents.

The coach then highlighted the room for growth within the squad, which is made up of many young players. Some key players were absent due to injury and their return is eagerly awaited: Zaniolo, Solet, and Piotrowski should soon be available again. Runjaic recalled the victory achieved last season right at San Siro, specifying, however, that that success also came thanks to a bit of luck and that the current Inter is on another level.

The focus now shifts to the next match: on Saturday, Udinese will face Cagliari in an important game for the continuation of the league.
