After officially acquiring the Meazza stadium last week, Inter and Milan have begun to dream of the new privately owned stadium that will finally become a reality in a few years. A modern facility in line with current European standards, but above all one that will significantly boost the revenues of both clubs coming directly from the stadium, for the good of their turnover.
Among the main issues to be resolved in the coming months is the one regarding the name that will be adopted for the new stadium. As written by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter and Milan are already working to develop the type of strategy to adopt for the naming rights, that is, the agreements with the company that will give the new facility its commercial name.
We are still in an embryonic phase in which there is obviously no certain news, but among the first expressions of interest, the one linked to Generali stands out. The leading Italian insurance company, always connected to the world of sports, could play a significant role in the race for the commercial name of the new stadium of Inter and Milan.
To give an example, in 2020 Juventus signed an agreement with Allianz worth 103 million euros for 10 years, for an estimated share between 7-10 million per season. In the case of the two Milanese clubs, considering the presence of two highly attractive and internationally visible companies, the initial requests could soar well beyond 30 million euros per year for the naming rights share.
