In recent editions, Inter‘s journey in the Champions League has been excellent, with two finals played in three seasons. This year too, the Nerazzurri have started off on the right foot thanks to the work of new coach Cristian Chivu, who has collected three wins in the first three European matches.
Even before the victory against Union SG, Inter was already in a very high position in the UEFA ranking, but now it is even higher. After this third win in three Champions League matchdays, the Nerazzurri have risen to 119,250 points in the European ranking and have temporarily overtaken Bayern Munich, who have 118,250.
So now Inter is in second place in the UEFA ranking, behind only Real Madrid, who are at the top with 127,500 points. However, Bayern Munich will play at home tonight against Bruges and, in case of victory, will reclaim second place, bringing Inter back to the third step of the podium in this special ranking.
