The artist Marco Perego, originally from Vimercate and born in 1979, shared a memory related to the Moratti family during an interview with Corriere della Sera. Before establishing himself in the world of art and cinema, Perego nurtured a dream of playing football and used to frequent Imbersago, where he was invited to play matches.
“When I was good at playing football, they used to invite me to play matches in Imbersago. I would go there with my father’s green car, which had a door that wouldn’t open. I would tell the Moratti brothers about my dreams: Angelo and Gabriele, with whom I am very close friends, would listen to me,” he recounted.
The bond with the family grew stronger over time, eventually turning into concrete support for his artistic career. “Then Gilda, who is like a little sister to me, bought my first artwork: a thousand dollars. That’s how it all started,” concluded the artist, who is now also established as a screenwriter, director, and producer.
