The future of Benjamin Pavard is still to be determined. Having returned to Inter after his loan to Marseille, the defender could leave for a sum between 12 and 15 million euros. His agent Pastorello, appointed by the club, is working together with the player’s entourage to find a solution, while the Frenchman has a contract worth 5 million euros net per season valid until June 30, 2028.
The situation currently remains on standby. According to Tuttosport, if all the offers were to come in the form of a loan and not a permanent transfer, the scenario could change. “If they want me, I’ll stay,” the 1996-born defender had declared in response to a fan during his medical at Coni.
From Appiano, they report that the thirty-year-old is training with particular commitment, showing his intentions through actions and not just words. Even Chivu has not ruled out his staying (“We’ll see him work and then decide”), but to remain in Milan the Frenchman will necessarily have to clear things up with the Nerazzurri dressing room and with captain Lautaro Martinez.
If the photo showing him playing padel while injured can be considered a lapse in judgment, the newspaper recalls that his unwillingness to grit his teeth in times of need and other similar behaviors had created the rift that led to his transfer last season.
