After last night’s feat accomplished in Munich, Inter can now refocus on a calendar still packed with fixtures throughout April. In addition to next week’s return leg clash with Bayern Munich, the Nerazzurri will also face the second leg of the Coppa Italia semifinals against Milan scheduled for April 23rd, not to mention several challenging Serie A matches crucial in the race for the Scudetto.
Regarding the derby at the end of April, however, one key starter may be forced into a premature absence. Following a fracture suffered to his right elbow, Kyle Walker underwent surgery this morning. The English fullback will need a few days of rest and will attempt every possible effort to recover in time facing Inter— despite the limited timeframe available.
This is the official statement by the Rossoneri club: AC Milan announces that Kyle Walker has today sustained a fracture of the right elbow. Aiming for an optimal healing process and to reduce recovery time, today the player underwent osteosynthesis surgery of the olecranon in Milan. The operation was completely successful. Kyle will begin rehabilitation immediately.
