Following the opening of disciplinary proceedings against CF Pachuca and Club León, the Chairman of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee has decided to refer the case directly to the FIFA Appeal Committee, in accordance with Article 56, paragraph 3, of the FIFA Disciplinary Code. After evaluating all available evidence, the Chairman of the FIFA Appeal Committee concluded that CF Pachuca and Club León did not comply with the club multi-ownership criteria as defined under Article 10, paragraph 1, of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Regulations. Pursuant to Article 10, paragraph 4, of the same Regulations, FIFA has decided that Club León will be excluded from the competition, and the replacement club will be announced in due course.
