As had already been predicted in recent hours, there is no good news regarding the condition of Francesco Acerbi. The Inter center-back, who left the field due to a strong discomfort in the flexors of his right thigh last Tuesday evening against Liverpool, underwent instrumental tests this morning to better assess his condition.
As officially announced by Inter, it is a strain of the femoral biceps. This means that Cristian Chivu will be forced to do without Acerbi for at least a month. This means that, in addition to missing the Italian Super Cup, the center-back could also miss the direct clash on January 11 against Napoli in the league.
This is the official statement from Inter regarding this morning’s tests: “Francesco Acerbi underwent clinical and instrumental tests this morning at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano. The tests revealed a strain of the femoral biceps in the right thigh.”
