Nani defends Solet: no physical problem, the denial is clear

Gian Luca Nani, Group Technical Director of Udinese, has firmly denied the rumors that have circulated in recent weeks about alleged physical problems of Oumar Solet, a defender who in the past had been linked to Inter. According to some media, the player supposedly had a cartilage problem in his knee, but the Friulian executive has categorically rejected this account.

Speaking to Sky Sport, Nani stated: “Solet is in excellent condition, I am surprised by what I have read. I wish all our players had the same physical problems as Solet. Last season he played every match except two, and he hasn’t missed a single training session in a year and a half. If that means having a knee problem… I don’t know where this nonsense comes from.”

The Bianconeri executive then emphasized the value of the defender for the Udinese squad: “We are happy to have Solet, it is a privilege to have him in the squad. I consider him an extraordinary player, an added value. We have no need to sell him.”
