The Coppa Italia match against Lazio brought joy to Inter for advancing to the semi-finals where they will face Milan again, seeking revenge after the defeat in the Supercoppa. However, it also brought bad news for Simone Inzaghi regarding the injury of Matteo Darmian.
This morning, the number 36 defender underwent diagnostic tests to determine the extent of his muscular injury. The result is that he will have to rest for about 20 days to recover from a muscle strain in the semimembranosus of his right thigh.
Darmian should therefore return after the break in March and get back on the pitch by the end of March when Inter will play against Udinese. In this case, the former Torino and Manchester United player will miss the matches against Napoli, Monza and Atalanta in Serie A, as well as the two Champions League clashes with Feyenoord.
