Juventus has officially announced the signing of Jhon Lucumì, a 28-year-old Colombian defender from Bologna. The player has signed a contract that ties him to the Bianconeri club until June 30, 2030. The deal cost 20 million euros plus bonuses.

In recent weeks, Lucumì‘s name had also been linked to Inter, but he was never among the Nerazzurri club’s priorities. The Colombian now joins Luciano Spalletti in Turin, further strengthening the squad available to the coach.

Having grown up in the youth sector of Deportivo Cali, the defender made his professional debut at 17, immediately showing personality and physicality. In 2018, he moved to Genk, where he established himself as one of the best defenders in the Belgian league. Since 2022, he has played in Italy with Bologna, making a total of 152 appearances over the last four seasons. He also made his debut in the Champions League, scoring one of the two goals he netted for the Rossoblù.

The official statement from Juventus highlights how they are acquiring “a player in the prime of his maturity, ready to immediately lend a hand to the team ahead of the now imminent start of the season.”
