Fabrizio Lucchesi, general manager of Guidonia and former executive of Fiorentina, Roma and Pisa, spoke to Tuttomercatoweb to analyze the league scenario and the balance among the top teams in Serie A. His comments focused in particular on the gap between the teams at the top.
Regarding the transfer market and the situation of the big teams, Lucchesi stated: “When there is a World Cup, there is always a break. Now everyone is looking for something, but I believe that at the moment no one has closed the gap with Inter.” A clear assessment of Inter’s dominance and the difficulties their rivals face in reaching the same level.
The executive also commented on the Pirlo issue, saying: “There was probably a lack of communication. It’s not about questioning people, but certain situations. I think it was right to take a stand.”
