The away match in Bodo ended with bittersweet results for Inter. Chivu‘s team managed to keep qualification open for the return leg at San Siro, but lost an important player along the way: Lautaro Martinez in fact had to throw in the towel due to a calf problem, right on that synthetic pitch which had raised concerns since the early hours of the day.

Inter’s hope was to avoid injuries in such particular conditions, between polar temperatures and artificial surface, as Marotta had also specified before the match. Unfortunately, however, Chivu is aware of having lost the captain, who will undergo tests tomorrow, but not only that.

Piotr Zielinski—who came on in the 76th minute—also seems to have not come out in the best condition. Evaluations and updates are awaited in the coming hours.
