The Lega Serie A has officially released some details regarding the 2025/26 Italian Super Cup, a tournament Inter fans hope will once again feature their team, as has been the case for the past 4 consecutive editions three of which they won consecutively before losing against AC Milan in January 2025.
Once again, the four-team format has been confirmed, meaning the competition will involve the top two teams in the final standings of the 2024/25 Serie A season, as well as the two finalists of this year’s ongoing Coppa Italia. In order to qualify, Inter will therefore need to either eliminate Milan from the cup competition or avoid finishing third in the league standings.
The venue for the 2025/26 edition is still undecided. Saudi Arabia currently holds an agreement with the Lega Serie A to host two of the next four editions of the tournament on its territory, but officials have until the end of April to decide which years those editions will be hosted there.
