Defeating Bayern Munich, who had not lost at home in Europe for four years, is not something everyone achieves.
The Nerazzurri coach clearly emphasized this in the post-match press conference. Inzaghi highlighted the ability of his players to overcome hardships, related to injuries and the intense demands of this season. For this reason, he also expressed annoyance at the criticism directed at the team after last Saturday’s draw.

In the post-match press conference following Bayern Munich–Inter, Simone Inzaghi defended his team against criticism, underlining his annoyance with those who attacked his players after the match with Parma.
These were his words:
We are surpassing ourselves, that’s the truth. I have never before experienced so many injuries as in these last two months. We must congratulate the lads; they have incredible dedication to the Inter shirt and go beyond exhaustion—they were truly moving. I get angry when substitutions are questioned by bringing the players into the situation. Criticize me, but leave the lads alone. If we’ve reached April 8th still fighting for everything, credit goes to the entire squad. Here there are no reserves; those who come on later are sometimes decisive, and sometimes less so. But it’s thanks to everyone if we’re here.
