La Gazzetta dello Sport predicts major moves in defense for Inter, which will see the biggest revolution in that department. At the moment, according to the newspaper, there are only two certainties in Inter’s backline: Manuel Akanji, who with the mathematical certainty of the championship will be a must, and Yann Bisseck.
The German center-back has had a season that took him from being close to leaving—when Crystal Palace made a concrete move a year ago—to being untouchable. According to Gazzetta, Bisseck has become untouchable and the club will close the door to any potential offers. The former Aarhus player could also be useful as a central defender, a role in which Akanji has not fully convinced so far.
And while Darmian and Acerbi are practically certain to leave, the situations of de Vrij and, above all, Bastoni—who remains at the center of Barcelona’s interest—still need to be evaluated.
