FC Internazionale Milano has reached 100 million fans on social media, spread across 26 club profiles. This milestone comes after a year of sustained growth, with a 20% year-on-year increase representing the best performance among top clubs globally and resulting in over 16 million new followers.
In the last six months, from February to July, this journey has consolidated Inter‘s position among the most followed entities in the world. Leading the growth were especially YouTube and TikTok. On the former, the Nerazzurri club surpassed 10 million subscribers, recording a +135% increase with over 6.1 million new fans. This result brought the club to seventh place in the global ranking of football clubs by number of subscribers on the platform.
On TikTok, the fanbase grew by 4 million users in the same period. On the platform, the club experimented with innovative formats, such as the “Out Of Phone” project for the celebration of the 21st Scudetto. Native content left the smartphone during the Bus Parade in Milan, transforming the city into an extension of the digital narrative. The initiative generated hundreds of millions of views and a strong increase in the fanbase.
The Nerazzurri community is increasingly global: in the past year, international fans grew by 25.6%. The United States remains the leading Western country for growth, with a +24.6% increase driven by TikTok and YouTube. The entire American continent represents 18% of the global community, highlighting the growing relevance of the brand in one of the most strategic markets.
Alongside numerical growth, digital performance is also improving. In the last season, impressions increased by 43% and video views by 33%, despite a 33% reduction in published content. This data highlights the effectiveness of a targeted editorial strategy, capable of maximizing impact.
“This milestone is part of a journey that Inter has been pursuing for some time with vision and consistency. The excellent results of last season confirm the effectiveness of a renewed strategy that prioritizes quality over quantity, investing in relevant, innovative content designed for increasingly diverse and global audiences,” said Luca Adornato, Brand & Marketing Director of FC Internazionale Milano. “The growth of our community reflects Inter’s ability to speak to fans from different cultures and markets through a tailored approach, allowing us to be ever closer to our fans in Italy and all over the world.”
The club continues to focus on international expansion, with the goal of maintaining a presence on emerging channels and developing dialogue with an ever larger and more connected fanbase.
