Confirming the negative sensations of the past few hours, the instrumental tests to which Benjamin Pavard underwent this morning revealed the worst outcome. The French defender, in fact, suffered a muscle strain to the femoral bicep of his left thigh, an injury that will keep him out of the game for several matches.
From the initial hypotheses formulated after the tests carried out, Pavard is expected to be out for about three weeks. This means that Simone Inzaghi will have to do without the French defender for at least five matches: his return, therefore, is expected between Inter-Como on December 23 and Cagliari-Inter on the 28th. The goal of Inter, in any case, will be to have the central defender at his best for the Italian Super Cup at the beginning of 2025.
A real blow for the Inter coach at a delicate point in the season. Due to the long absence of Pavard due to injury, Inzaghi will have to consider the several alternatives already envisaged to replace the defender in the next five matches between the league and the Champions League.
