Forced to pull out during warm-up before Inter-Feyenoord, Stefan de Vrij underwent medical examinations this morning. In agreement with Inter’s medical staff, the Dutch defender preferred not to take any risks after experiencing discomfort in his knee moments before the match.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, this morning’s tests fortunately ruled out any injuries. Good news for Simone Inzaghi, who could have de Vrij back in training with the group between Friday and Saturday. If the player’s recovery progresses as planned in the next 48 hours, the defender may be included in the squad by the coach for Sunday evening’s away game against Atalanta in Bergamo.
