There was a moment during Cristian Chivu‘s press conference, on the eve of Inter-Kairat, that certainly did not go unnoticed by the journalists present at Appiano Gentile. The coach, commenting on his lineup choices in these first months as Inter coach, also referred to some players being upset about the limited playing time they have had in recent matches.
According to what was written by La Gazzetta dello Sport, it would be Acerbi and Frattesi who are the two Nerazzurri ‘mentioned’ by Chivu during the press conference, but not only them. Here is the incriminated passage: “There is talk of meritocracy, but my boys have always worked well from the beginning and no one has ever held back. They have always tried to give their best, with ups and downs, with someone more pissed off because he hasn’t played as much as he expected. But my choices are always well thought out and I always keep in mind the minutes played, trying to satisfy everyone without creating imbalances from a defensive point of view.”
According to what was written by the pink newspaper, in addition to the two Italians there are other players who are not exactly satisfied with the playing time they have had: “The not too veiled reference is to the discontent of Acerbi, Frattesi and not only them: ordinary issues, in big teams where the competition is qualified and motivated, because no one likes the bench.”
