Firecracker in Cremonese-Inter: forfeit defeat?

In the 49th minute of the second half of Cremonese-Inter, referee Davide Massa was forced to stop the game due to a firecracker thrown onto the field near Audero from the section occupied by the Nerazzurri fans. The goalkeeper, who remained on the ground for a few seconds, suffered some scratches, but fortunately was able to continue his match.

Many have therefore wondered what Inter might risk for what happened on Cremonese’s field. An answer came on Dazn from Luca Marelli, who explained what sanctions could be imposed on the Nerazzurri club by the sports judge in the coming days.

These are the words of the former referee: “In this case, the referee’s report will be decisive, as he only heard the firecracker explode, as well as the report from the field inspectors. There will certainly be at least a fine; what is at risk is the closure of some sections of Inter’s stadium and perhaps even some sanctions for upcoming away matches. This is a matter for the sports judge, and we have to wait for the next few days for the sanctions that will certainly arrive.”
