Inter accelerated at the start of the second half against Cremonese, in the match valid for the sixth round of Serie A. The Nerazzurri were in fact able to score two goals in a short time, which were the third and fourth goals of the match at the start of the second half, and the third goal of the match was scored by Federico Dimarco.
The Cremonese goalkeeper, Silvestri, had asked the referee to check the offside position of Lautaro Martinez who was in front of him at the moment of Dimarco‘s shot. The former Serie A referee, Luca Marelli, live on DAZN, however, had no doubts in denying this hypothesis and explained the new rule:
“Lautaro is offside but the directives regarding these situations are that on shots from outside the box, the player must be in contact with the goalkeeper and here we are about 5-6 meters away. We saw a similar episode also in Como-Genoa with Nico Paz’s goal validated despite a very similar offside by Morata.”
