Federico Dimarco is close to a full recovery after the sprain to his left knee that kept him out of the away match in Madrid against Real. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, between today and tomorrow the winger should return to training with the rest of the team.
At that point, it will be up to Cristian Chivu to decide whether to start him or to continue to trust Carlos Augusto. The Brazilian put in a convincing performance at the Bernabeu, even finding the back of the net, and a few days earlier had come off the bench to provide the assist for Thuram‘s temporary 2-2 against Napoli.
It was in that very match that Dimarco suffered the injury that led the coaching staff to leave him in Milan instead of taking him to Spain. Now his return appears imminent and gives Chivu an important option on the left flank.
