The Belgian footballer Marie Detruyer has renewed her contract with Inter Women until 2029. After signing the extension with the Milanese club, the young player expressed great satisfaction to the official channels of the Nerazzurri club.
“It’s very nice when a club shows you trust and I’m really happy to continue. This club means a lot to me because it’s my first big step away from Belgium,” said Detruyer. The footballer emphasized the club’s constant growth: “This club improves year after year and I really like that. I feel I can still improve a lot here.”
The Belgian then spoke about her personal journey in Milan: “From the very first day here I felt a lot of trust and I think I’ve grown a lot, both as a footballer and as a woman. I can say that Milan has become a bit like home for me and I’m really happy and grateful for that.”
Among her fondest memories, Detruyer mentioned qualifying for the Women Champions League achieved in her first year: “My best moment was when, in my first year, we reached the Women Champions League for the first time in our history: being part of that group was incredible.”
Looking ahead to next season, the footballer set her goals: “I want to give my all and I want to keep improving.”
