A few hours before Milan–Inter, coach Chivu still has to resolve some formation issues ahead of the derby scheduled for tomorrow evening at the Meazza stadium. The situation is outlined by Corriere dello Sport, which lists the main uncertainties on the coach’s table.

The unavailable players remain Lautaro, Pavard, Luis Henrique, Stones and Jones: none of them will recover in time for the derby. In goal, Pepo Martinez is expected to return after two games of rest given to Provedel.

In defense, the return of Akanji seems certain, while on the right flank Bisseck is expected and Bastoni is ready to reclaim his spot. On the wings, Diouf will play on the right, while on the left the choice is between Dimarco and Carlos Augusto: the latter would also represent the only defensive alternative from the bench, a factor that could influence the final decision.

The most delicate issue concerns the midfield: alongside Barella and Calhanoglu, the third spot is contested by Mkhitaryan, Zielinski and Sucic. In attack, according to the newspaper, Pio Esposito should start from the first minute alongside Thuram.
