De Grandis on Ausilio's farewell: Inter has the resources to overcome it

The separation between Piero Ausilio and Inter continues to generate reactions in the football world. Speaking to Sky Sport, Stefano De Grandis expressed surprise at a split that ends a long and seemingly solid collaboration. “I was surprised too; you don’t expect such long stories that have never had cracks to end like this,” said the journalist.

There’s Marotta, who is a supervisor and a winner, and Baccin is a pupil of Ausilio.” According to De Grandis, this well-established organizational structure will allow the club to manage the change without excessive setbacks. “It’s not certain that there will be such a strong trauma,” he observed, while admitting that “a great professional is leaving Inter.”

De Grandis also addressed the topic of Inter’s European journey: “Inter reached the Champions League final twice; in a knockout competition, there are always small episodes that make the difference.” He then gave an example: “If Akanji doesn’t give the ball away to Bodo, Inter could have made a comeback since they were playing well.”
