Damiani: Baccin is ready to ensure Ausilio won't be missed

Oscar Damiani, agent and intermediary, commented to the microphones of TMW on the change at the helm of the Nerazzurri technical area. Piero Ausilio left Inter after 28 years, 14 of which were spent as sporting director. Dario Baccin has taken his place.

“Ausilio made history at Inter and like all stories, this one has also come to an end. He was a great executive, he will find another team that will give him an opportunity,” said Damiani. On his successor, he added: “Baccin grew up alongside Ausilio and Marotta, he is ready to be the sporting director of Inter. He has his own experience. And he will know how to ensure Ausilio is not missed.”

The agent then assessed the Nerazzurri transfer market: “We will understand as we go along. They made good moves, we’ll see the results.” On the title race, Damiani named the Nerazzurri as favorites: “Napoli and Juve are valid alternatives, as is Milan. But certainly Inter is the favorite.”

Finally, a mention of the big matches already scheduled for this matchday: “Two great matches right at the start, they could already say something and give an idea of what the future will be,” referring to Juve–Milan and Inter–Napoli.
