Inter is closely monitoring the situation of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, midfielder for Marseille. After acquiring Luis Henrique in the last summer transfer window, the Nerazzurri are once again looking at the French club and, according to Corriere dello Sport, the thirty-year-old Dane is now in their sights.

Højbjerg grew up in the youth teams of Copenhagen and Brøndby. He made his debut at 17 with Bayern Munich, and was then loaned out to Augsburg and Schalke 04.

In 2016 he moved to Southampton, where he played for 4 years and became captain. In 2020 he was bought by Tottenham, where he stayed until 2024 when he joined Marseille on loan with an obligation to buy. The French club signed him permanently in the summer of 2025. He has a contract expiring in June 2028.

Many describe him as a “classic” defensive midfielder, but modern, who provides solidity and build-up play and at Marseille he is now a regular starter with 36 appearances this season, 3 goals and 4 assists in all competitions.

It continues, “Both Roma and Inter have excellent relations with Marseille, having completed the Luis Henrique deal and the one for Robinio Vaz with the French club, respectively. The months leading up to the summer transfer window will allow Juve, Inter, and Roma to understand the financial terms of the deal and the intentions of the former Tottenham player, who has long been attracted to the Italian league. The price, at the moment, is around 12 million euros plus bonuses, a valuation considered affordable for a midfielder who combines quality and quantity, but is no longer very young. For his part, Hojbjerg is very fascinated by an adventure in Italy, so much so that his agent, already in recent months, has had the opportunity to talk with Juve, who did everything possible to bring him to Spalletti as early as January.”
