Napoli coach Antonio Conte spoke at a press conference after the home victory against Cremonese 4-0 in the advance match of the 34th round of Serie A. His statements certainly did not go unnoticed, given the direct references to Inter. Below are the coach’s words:
“We are second in the standings and we have to be careful because we have the rifles pointed at us. Something I don’t see happening to other teams that are maybe even behind us and it seems like they’re having extraordinary seasons.
And yet up to now we are the only ones who have lifted a trophy, just to be precise. There will be Inter who probably have the chance to lift two trophies, and last year Bologna lifted it together with us.
And yet I read and hear about great seasons, about other teams (he smiles, ed.), extraordinary seasons, about points… maybe we are making mistakes in communication. Our communication should try to throw out more positive things like the others do.”
