The home defeat against Bruges in the Champions League leaves consequences for Inter. After the match, Chivu already announced changes ahead of the upcoming fixtures, and according to Sky Sport, the coach is looking at a more general level, not at individuals.
“The changes that Chivu wants to make will not concern individuals, but will be on a more general level, a team issue, an equilibrium that in some matches is lost and then gives way to the frenzy of wanting to recover the result and to frustration,” reads the broadcaster’s report.
The second half, in particular, highlighted Inter’s weaknesses: the team appeared disjointed and vulnerable to the Belgian club’s counterattacks. In terms of corrections, Sky Sport indicates that the changes will concern the general approach, tactical balance, and mental resilience.
There is also an aspect related to the goalkeeping position: “Regardless of performances, the time for Provedel is coming anyway,” the broadcaster’s report concludes.
