Smiling for the excellent victory achieved this evening at San Siro against Venezia, Cristian Chivu commented on the performance of his boys at the Mediaset microphones. Naturally positive comments from the coach for his Inter and for the many players who gave him the answers he expected. Here are his statements:
SERIOUS PERFORMANCE – “I liked the attitude, the seriousness, the respect we showed for the opponent. This is a group that knows what to do, is motivated. I am happy for the performance, for those who played their first match at San Siro today, the U23 boys. I am happy for Andy Diouf who started for the first time and scored. There are many good things done tonight and I am happy for them.”
FORWARDS – “Pio and Bonny? The credit goes to them, but also to the others who welcomed them. It’s not easy to join an already established group. Those who have represented these colors for more years welcomed the younger ones well, who immediately fit in. The growth path continues because we can still improve.”
PATH – “We are aware of the path, of what we want to do. We know there are moments and moments to manage. Then I will have time this season to say something and maybe I will go against something. I don’t know, I have said something in the past, maybe it went unnoticed. But I have said some not so nice things.”
FRATTESI – “At this moment he probably had the minutes he deserved, maybe he deserved a few more. He had some problems after the operation, something we didn’t communicate. He has always made himself available, today he needed to put fuel in his legs and he did it well. We know his importance, I have made several choices in the past, but I know I can count on a decisive player who still wants to be decisive for us.”
