Among the rules imposed with his return to Appiano Gentile as coach, Cristian Chivu has set a rather particular one that has little to do with technical-tactical matters. The Romanian coach, as explained in today’s edition of Tuttosport, has banned his players from swearing during training matches.
This is a decision that has a very precise logic behind it and should be reflected in the matches. Here is the newspaper’s explanation: “Chivu, for example, has clearly told the team that he does not want to hear swearing during training matches: which is a good and right thing in itself, but it also helps the players to maintain control on the field (this leads to making better choices when the pressure rises).”
